My fourth peice of Elfen Lied artwork drawn using Copic Markers.
This peice is ok.. i mean its an example of 'nice concept, shitty application'. I almost gave up on this peice three or four times before i got around to finishing it.
The copic ink that i used for the background was AWFUL! It smudged like buggery at the slightest touch having not taken to the paper very well, end was even coming off en mass to the friskit film i used to cover the main image of Lucy when i applied her white 'aura' with ehite paint andn a toothbrush. The concept of the black vectors against the silouette of Lucy are a nice touch dontcha think?
Certaintly not my best, especially as it was rushed over one evening.
Still.. its done now, and i still believ it would be quite rude NOT to post it on my DA gallery.
The character is called Lucy, and shes from a japanese anime called 'Elfen Lied'. She's a mutant with awsome mental powers, due to the two horns that grow from her head. The black hands are the physical manifestation (Ive always wanted to say that) of her psychic power, called 'Vectors'. with those psychic arms of hers she can lift impossibly heavy objects, or kill people in an instant.
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
